Luxor was one of our favorite places on our trip minus the maching gun toting men at the Luxor temple. Watching the sun come up over the nile was a special way to spend the sabbath. The temples and valley of the Kings were amazing. In the afternoon, we took a felucca ride on the nile. Surreal. The history of the place blows the mind and the facades and statues are huge. Our guide was very knowlegable and we had a great day.

Well, we are finally back home after our half way around the worl trip. It was awesome. It started in Seoul with below freezing temperatures. We were able to see the changing of the guard and that was so colorful. We found a good driver to give us a quick tour on our way to Egypt. The tangerines were delicious. It did not leave us nostalgic for winter. Hee hee.

Congratulations Bro

The biggest news of the past month is that Eric's brother Ryan got engaged to his girlfriend Marcella. We are very excited for them both. We are looking forward to a wedding in Italy. It is a rough place to have to visit.

Life is rolling along. This month has been very hectic and I have not gotten to blog for a while. Highlights have been Dixie doing her first triathalon, New Years party at the prison with bible study groups, sink and faucet problems, finishing painting the walls in condo, company yearly party wifh free Ipods for us all, sunset vespers at Gun Beach, and Asayiahs birthday party.

The weather has been cool and nice. These are the months we live for on Guam. We hope you are all well. Keep tuned for February trip pics.

New Years Day dive

Happy New Year. Our year is off with a bang. Seraya had her emergency suregery and alot of money later our cat is doing well. She was taking the staples out and had to be put in above suit. Awfully funny as she did not like her little suit at all.

I was on call New Years eve and we were sleeping when 2008 rolled in. For the end of the year, our church had a big fiesta and barbecue. It was great to spend time with friends. Work is cranking along. Dixie started the new year by doing a triathalon this am. You go girl. To all out there, do something in 2008 you have always dreamed of doing. Carpe diem.

Hey everyone, happy holidays. We spent Christmas relaxing with friends here on Guam. It was great to be off work together. The highlight was talking to Ryan in Morrocco and Hans in Chad. We are a little troubled tonight as Seraya had to have emergency stomach surgery. We are hoping she will pull through. The clinic is super busy and short providers once again. Ahh, back to normal. Ha ha. Just kidding. We have so much to be thankful for. May we all impact the world for Him this next year. Happy New year.

For Dixie's birthday, we went to the singapore zoo. Our luck with the weather ran out. It absolutely deluged on us. We bought ponchos and went for it. The zoo is amazing. We especially enjoyed the big cat areas, a pysho elephant playing in the pool, and the biggest king cobra we have ever seen(15 feet). I was on a quest to find the merlion staute, so Dixie amused me and we hiked what seemed like forever at night with the drizzle before finally finding it. OUr last morning, the weather cleared and we got to explore little India. We had a great trip and are now cranking back at work. How did Christmas sneak up again? Two weeks to do and not even close to done with the to do list. Oh well, happy holidays to you all.
