Merry Christmas

Our family
Christmas dinner at the Ordelheides with Sho's parents
Hey everyone, happy holidays. We spent Christmas relaxing with friends here on Guam. It was great to be off work together. The highlight was talking to Ryan in Morrocco and Hans in Chad. We are a little troubled tonight as Seraya had to have emergency stomach surgery. We are hoping she will pull through. The clinic is super busy and short providers once again. Ahh, back to normal. Ha ha. Just kidding. We have so much to be thankful for. May we all impact the world for Him this next year. Happy New year.

Singapore #2

The Zoo
Macaus
Let it pour
Merlion park at night
Downtown
For Dixie's birthday, we went to the singapore zoo. Our luck with the weather ran out. It absolutely deluged on us. We bought ponchos and went for it. The zoo is amazing. We especially enjoyed the big cat areas, a pysho elephant playing in the pool, and the biggest king cobra we have ever seen(15 feet). I was on a quest to find the merlion staute, so Dixie amused me and we hiked what seemed like forever at night with the drizzle before finally finding it. OUr last morning, the weather cleared and we got to explore little India. We had a great trip and are now cranking back at work. How did Christmas sneak up again? Two weeks to do and not even close to done with the to do list. Oh well, happy holidays to you all.

Singapore #1

Singapore Skyline
Sentosa Island
Ready to luge
Boat Quay
Clark Quay
In the afternoon, we went and visited Sentosa Island. It is a tourist/local trap with a number of amusement park areas and rides as well as some decent man made beaches. It is a nice getaway for those living in the city. We did some luging and also rode a way to high for my liking sky tram/chairlift. At sunset, we walked around downtown singapore. It is amazing the amount of people packed into one city adn subway system. The river walk was a nice place to unwind.

Malaysia

Dixie with new friends
Royal Mosque

?? Bayview Park, Manila, Phillipines
Our first day in Singapore, we signed up for a half day trip to Johor Baru, Malaysia. It was not overy stimulating, but we got some new stamps in our passports. Yeehaw. Dixie did an improptu dance number with the troupe above. She did quite well and I was impressed. Unfortuntaley I do not know how to post video to the blog.

Batangas Dive Trip #3

Tough diving conditions
Safety Interval

Flat worm
Top of Sombrero dive site
For those of you who do not know where Batangas is, it is a grueling 4 hour drive from Manila in stop and go traffic the whole way. The Eagle Point Resort was right on the water, so easy dive access. It was good to be away from it all and relax with friends.

Batangas Dive Trip #2

Batangas Dive Trip #1

Black Frogfish
Ready To Dive
Reef Scene
Awww!
False Clownfish
We just got back from a great week of diving and visiting singapore. Diving in Batangas was awesome. The typhoon had just past and the weather held for us. Chad and Sho came with us for another adventure together. There were a ton of nudibranchs and great picture ops. We saw a turle and also a hug school of swirling jacks. The rest of the diving was smaller things. It is still amazing to see all of the color that can be underwater. A rough couple of days.

Thanksgiving

Hawkfish
Thanksgiving Dinner-note the ketchup
Happy belated Thanksgiving. This is one of Dixie's and my favorite times of year. We missed being able to celebrate with family, but it was good to be with good friends. After our dinner, we did a dive and saw two turtles, with Gordon and Julie seeing a 5 foot black tip shark. We are very thankful to God for being near to us this past year. We are especially thankful for our family and friends. Cheers.

Bottom of Thousand Steps hike Seraya and her floss fetish
Dixie and friends from church
Hello All. Life the past few weeks has been rolling along. We had a great hike on sabbath with the youth to thousand steps. No turtles this time. Work is very hectic and we are trying to keep our heads above water. Seraya is great and has added alot to our home. Island life is still tough to beat.

Gun Beach
Nice
New nudibranch
Parrot fish with friend

Hi Everyone. Work has been insanely busy these past few weeks. But, we are coming up for air. Dixie and I did a great afternoon dive at Gun Beach. It is our favorite beach dive here. We saw a turtle 3 times and big groups of large fish. Sunday night, Chad and Shoshanna joined us for a night dive there. We saw the most amazing thing after our dive. A storm went over and there was a full moon. As the sormed moved off, we saw a night rainbow. Wild. God is good.
