A tractor is on the front, two lanes-crazy

Rajastan is a state of amazing natural beauty. The drive from Delhi is gorgeous. The wall surrounding the Amber fort is like a miniature Great Wall along the hills. All of the women are dressed in the brightest colors against the desert backdrop. Effie joined our tour and it was fun getting to know her. The drive back is the worst traffic we have EVER seen. Lucky to be alive. Two lanes full of top heavy ready to tip semis. We were glad to arrive at the airport safely in time for our flight.

Delhi is a big and very busy city. Traffic is insane. It was very special to visit Gandhi's grave. It testifies to the power of good that one life can accomplish.

Varanasi was our favorite place in India. The colors and spectacle were sensory overload. It is a photographer's dream. We stayed in a great little hotel and spent the days wondering the Ghats and seeing the town. Notice the burning Ghat and cremations taking place. It was fascinating to see a different culture and the devotion that they have for their Gods. A lesson learned on faith and dedication. The kids were precious and people very friendly. A must do if ever in India.
